Definition reminder

Decommissioned equipment: Equipment that is no longer intended for use but remains under MSF's responsibility. It is no longer considered operational. It is stored in a dedicated area under the responsibility of the area supervisor. It is isolated before being removed from the premises.

Example: oxygen concentrator that is permanently broken, car that is more than 10 years old and that we wish to resell.

Procedure

Note: this operation can only be carried out on a piece-by-piece basis. In the case of a large number of items of equipment (e.g. donation), send the list of equipment codes to the MEMO team.

  • In the GENERAL DATA module, click on the EQUIPMENT application and open the equipment you wish to decommission.
  • Tick the "TO BE TAKEN OUT OF THE FLEET" box.
  • SAVE

Note: A message in a blue box will appear. The equipment can no longer be modified from the equipment application. It can be viewed and modified from the ‘REMOVED FROM INVENTORY’ application.

Tip: to quickly tick several pieces of equipment: apply filters to the equipment list. Then move from one piece of equipment to another using the arrow at the top of the page.

Note: If you have the reasons for the exit from the fleet, as a logistics supervisor, you can complete the rest of the information via the EXIT FROM FLEET application in the FLEET MANAGEMENT module. (practical information sheet here)
